How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is $7.95. Orders over $75 ship free — no code needed.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to Canada, the UK, and Australia. International orders may be subject to customs duties upon arrival, which are the responsibility of the customer. Delivery takes 7 to 18 business days depending on destination.

I haven't received a shipping confirmation. What should I do?

Check your spam folder first — our emails occasionally end up there. If nothing shows up within 3 business days of ordering, email us at info@thepandajin.com and we'll sort it out.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

Email us at info@thepandajin.com as soon as possible. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll update it. Once it's on its way, we're unable to make changes — so double-check your address at checkout.

Returns

Not the right fit? No problem.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery — no lengthy explanations needed. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.

How do I start a return?

Email info@thepandajin.com with your order number. We'll send a prepaid return label within 2 business days. Drop it off within 7 days of receiving the label and we'll take it from there.

How long does a refund take?

Once we receive your return, refunds are processed within 5 business days back to your original payment method. Credit card refunds may take an additional 3 to 5 days to appear on your statement.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Yes, and it's free. Email info@thepandajin.com with your order number and the size you need. If it's in stock, we'll ship your replacement as soon as we receive your return. Not sure what size to try? Email us first — we'll help you figure it out before you ship anything back.

What if my item arrived damaged or incorrect?

That's on us. Email info@thepandajin.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no return required.

What items can't be returned?

Final Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange. This will be clearly marked on the product page before you buy.

Sizing

How do I find the right size and measure my dog?
You'll need a soft measuring tape and ideally a second person to help.

  • Chest girth: Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. This is the most important measurement for fit.
  • Neck: Measure around the base of the neck where a collar sits.
  • Back length: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Compare your measurements to our Sizing Guide before ordering. When in doubt, size up — our jackets are cut with a tailored fit, and a slightly larger size is always easier to work with than one that pulls across the chest.

Do your sizes work for both small and large breeds?

Yes, but they're on separate size charts. Our Expedition Line is cut for larger breeds, and our Flora Line is designed for smaller dogs with a lighter construction and softer fit. Make sure you're using the right chart for your dog's line.

My dog has a deep chest but a narrow waist. Will your jackets fit?

Our jackets are built around real canine anatomy, not a single silhouette. If your dog has an unusual build — deep chest, long back, barrel body — email us at info@thepandajin.com before you order. We'll tell you exactly which size to try and save you the back-and-forth.

Do your jackets fit dogs with harnesses underneath?

Most Panda Jin jackets have a built-in leash portal at the collar so they work over a harness. If your dog wears a bulkier harness, size up for the best fit and freedom of movement.

Product

What materials are used in Panda Jin products?

Our outerwear is built from weather-resistant, PFAS-free fabrics with a DWR finish and 4-way stretch construction. Every piece includes reflective trim for low-light visibility. All hardware is fur-safe and tested for durability across real-use conditions — not just in a lab.

Are your products machine washable?

Yes. Cold water, gentle cycle, air dry. Avoid fabric softener — it breaks down the DWR weather-resistant finish over time and reduces performance.

How do I restore the weather resistance after washing?

DWR finishes naturally reduce after repeated washing. To reactivate, tumble dry on low heat for 20 minutes or apply a DWR spray reactivator. Full care instructions are included with every order and available on our Care Guide page.

Are Panda Jin products safe for dogs with sensitive skin?

Yes. We use PFAS-free, skin-safe materials with no harsh chemical finishes. If your dog has specific allergies or sensitivities, email us at info@thepandajin.com and we'll share the full material breakdown for any product.

Will my dog be comfortable wearing a Panda Jin jacket?

We built our jackets around how dogs actually move — mapping shoulder rotation, spine drop, and chest expansion at different speeds. No bunching at the shoulders, no restriction across the chest, no ride-up at the back. Most dogs adapt quickly because the fit doesn't fight their movement.

Dog Apparel

Does my dog actually need a jacket?

It depends on your dog. Short-coated breeds, small dogs, senior dogs, and lean-bodied dogs lose heat quickly and genuinely benefit from a layer in cold or wet conditions. Even thick-coated dogs can benefit on wet trail days when their coat stays saturated and loses its insulating ability. Signs your dog could use a jacket: shivering, seeking warmth, slowing down or reluctance to keep moving in the cold.

How do I know if a jacket fits correctly?

You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably between the jacket and your dog's body at the chest. The jacket should cover the back fully without bunching at the shoulders or restricting front leg movement. Watch your dog walk — if they're stepping short, moving stiffly, or shaking the jacket off, something needs adjusting.

How do I get my dog used to wearing a jacket?

Start indoors and keep it short. Put the jacket on for 5 to 10 minutes during something your dog already enjoys — a meal, playtime, or a training session. Reward generously before, during, and after. Gradually increase the time over a few days before heading outside. Patience works better than rushing — most dogs come around quickly once they associate the jacket with good things.

My dog hates getting dressed. Any tips?

Let your dog sniff and investigate the jacket before you put it on. Reward every step of the process — picking it up, opening it, touching your dog with it — not just the finished result. Keep early sessions short and always end positively. Never force it. The goal is for your dog to eventually walk toward the jacket, not away from it.

What's the difference between the Expedition Line and the Flora Line?

The Expedition Line is designed for larger breeds — heavier weatherproofing, structured construction, and trail-ready details built for dogs that cover real distance. The Flora Line is cut for smaller breeds with a lighter weight, softer hand feel, and a silhouette suited for city walks and everyday wear. Both lines are held to the same material and construction standards.

What does your guarantee cover?

Use this section to answer a question, provide product information, or talk about your brand.

What isn't covered?

Our guarantee covers manufacturing defects only. It doesn't include normal wear and tear, damage from chewing or scratching, accidental tears or abrasion, or damage from improper sizing. We know dogs are hard on their gear — that's exactly why we build the way we do. But if it breaks before it should, that's on us.

What if I bought from a retailer, not your website?

Products purchased through an authorized Panda Jin retailer should be returned to the original place of purchase for warranty assistance. If that's not possible, email us at info@thepandajin.com with your proof of purchase and photos of the issue and we'll do our best to help.

How do I submit a warranty claim?

Email info@thepandajin.com with your order number and photos of the defect. We'll respond within 2 business days and tell you exactly what happens next.

Where are Panda Jin products made?

Our products are designed in the US and manufactured with carefully selected production partners. Every material is sourced and tested to meet our performance and safety standards before it goes into production.

Are your products vet-reviewed?

Yes. Our fit and construction have been reviewed by veterinarians and animal movement specialists to ensure comfort, safety, and freedom of motion. Good design starts with understanding the body wearing it.

What makes Panda Jin different from other dog apparel brands?

Most dog apparel is scaled down from human patterns. We started from the dog — mapping how different breeds actually move, then rebuilding the construction around that. We also bring 20 years of fashion industry experience to materials and design, which means our products hold up and look considered. The result is gear that performs on the trail and doesn't look like an afterthought on the sidewalk.
